The party!

Hardy Heron was released on 24th April, 2008. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardyReleaseSchedule for more info. On that ocassion few of us CodeMonkeys that are in/out of Nepal decided to have a release party!

How did it all go? Curious buggers :)

Guys, it's a success!!! People showed enthusiasm and actually showed up. That was our first baby step; getting people to know about Ubuntu. And lot of new users also showed up which is good as well. Let us all thank all the hard working organisers, presenters, behind-the-scene-guys and also to ourselves for working hard to have made it a possibility. However, one dissapointment was that the AptOnCD was not able to make it on time and couldn't be sold to people. However, SurajSapkota will make sure that during the Locus meetup, it'll definitely be sold.

Conclusion

Lot of hard work went into organising material and venue. Not to mention the funds. BibekShrestha was cool enough that Young Innovations Private Limited decided to donate NRS. 4000 for the party. The NRS. 4000 should be made sure that it goes into use for any next meetup, emergency use for Ubuntu-NP LOCO. Ki kaso? The only hiccup was tiny one which was AptOnCD which JwalantaShrestha decribes as jptOnCD.
